In 2018, Galeries Lafayette initiated a change in the way its French store network is managed, disposing of the operation and premises of 22 stores, which are now managed by Hermione People & Brands (HPB).
These 22 stores are located throughout France in Agen, Amiens, Angoulême, Bayonne, Beauvais, Belfort, Besançon, Caen, Cannes, Chalon-sur-Saône, Chambéry, Dax, La Roche-sur-Yon, La Rochelle, Libourne, Lorient, Montauban, Niort, Rouen, Saintes, Tarbes and Toulon.
In line with the Galeries Lafayette department store model, all stores have a minimum of five categories: Womenswear, Menswear, Lingerie, Fashion Accessories and Beauty. Some stores also offer Children's, Toys, Home and Food sections.
This commercial portfolio makes it possible to benefit from a rare opportunity to obtain strategic city-centre sites in premium locations.
This 2018 acquisition initiated the development of a dense territorial network, in line with HPB’s core identity today, and is proving to be a differentiating advantage in the deployment of its omni-channel strategy.
In August 2021, HPB announced plans to acquire four new Galeries Lafayette stores. The stores in Tours, Pau, Rosny and the Outlet of Coquelles are due to join the 22 stores acquired three years ago and further enhancing HPB's regional network. HPB's unique core identity is now proving to be a differentiating advantage in the deployment of its omni-channel strategy.
